Christchurch Information

  2. Christchurch Information

Christchurch is the largest city, and the major gateway, in New Zealand’s South Island.

The city’s population is 380,000, and it is the seat of the Canterbury region which encompasses much of the eastern side of the South Island.

Although it is a gateway, it is well worth lingering awhile before moving on. There is much to see and do in and around the city.
